Description

Electromagnetic, power-operated pole face brake ROBA®-quick is an electromagnetic pole face brake actuated by industrial current. A magnetic field is formed by applying a DC voltage to the solenoid coil. This attracts the armature disk to the brake coil carrier with friction lining. The braking torque runs from the coil carrier via the friction lining, armature disk and diaphragm transmission spring to the flange and shaft. In the de-energised state, the diaphragm transmission spring pulls the armature disk back to the flange. This releases the brake and the shaft can run freely. Product features Mounting position ✓ Mounting on the free shaft end Design ✓ Electromagnetic Benefits ✓ Short switching times ✓ High switching frequency ✓ High power density ✓ Positioning accuracy and functional reliability up to the wear limit Duty cycle ✓ Applicable for 100 % ED Construction - Protection class ✓ Electrical: Protection class IP 54 Assembly and maintenance ✓ Low maintenance
