Degermer machine DGC/X

Machine for the degermination and peeling of maize. It guarantees the highest quality with a semi-wet system, in the production of perfectly peeled large slices like hominy grits for the production of corn flakes, corn rice and precooked flours. The ideal solution for obtaining high yield of “Hominy grits'*. A conical rotor with special profile removes the germ and hull of the corn by abrasive action. Primary separation of the fine sized product is made through the screen mounted on the stator. The conical stator, in chilled cast iron, is provided with cone shaped indented areas and helical serrations. The rotor has removable plates for easy maintenance. A direct-coupled electric motor drives the rotor through a belts transmission system. Chutes with low attrition coefficient allow to modify the clearance between stator and rotor according to the desired yield and dehusking action. The adjustment is made by small levers with manual hand-wheel. Opening of discharging outlet can be adjusted according to the technological requirement. The machine is available also with stainless steel cover and discharge hoppers.
