Description

Overview
Fourworx® indexable milling cutters are high-feed cutters designed for rough and medium machining across a range of materials. Purpose-built tool and insert geometries reduce tool stresses and enable high productivity even on less rigid machines. The system performs reliably in wet and dry machining, and on unstable components or in deep cavities.

Indexable inserts
The inserts feature four cutting edges, a reinforcing collar around the screw seat and a negative insert seat for elevated stability. Chamfered outer edges protect against chipping and a 3D chip groove optimises chip evacuation for smooth cutting. A 1 mm corner radius ensures outer-diameter stability at high feed rates.

Tool body and coolant
The mill body uses embedded negative insert seats to secure high tooth stability and long service life. Constructed from over 80% recycled steel with a special alloy for durability and corrosion resistance. Internal coolant supply is standard to ensure reliable chip removal in deep cavities and to increase process reliability.

Processing types
  • Face milling
  • Angled plunging (ramping)
  • Helical milling
  • Pocket milling
  • Slot milling
  • Sharp corner milling

Highlights
  • Four cutting edges per insert for high cost-effectiveness
  • Chamfered outer edges protect inserts from chipping
  • Reinforcing collar around screw seat for extended insert life
  • Negative insert seat for high stability and a very smooth cut

Features
  • Four cutting edges per insert
  • 3D chip groove for optimal chip control
  • High tooth count on very small diameters
  • Tool body made from >80% recycled steel
  • Special alloy for durability and corrosion resistance
  • Suitable for unstable components and deep cavities due to smooth cutting behavior

Materials
Fourworx® mills steel, stainless steel, special/high-temperature alloys and titanium with ease; secondary applications include cast iron and some hardened materials.
