Description
The Vinyl High Resolution is the third member of the Vinyl series and the flagship scanner from smart optics. Its combination of high efficiency and precision enables dental technicians to manage complex restorations effortlessly. With repeat accuracy up to 4 μm (DIN ISO 12836) the Vinyl HR is suitable for all common dental indications. The sensor unit integrates a high-performance camera and Blue‑Light LED to deliver excellent global and detail accuracy.
The user can switch the High Resolution mode on or off to control scan quality: enable it for higher detail and data density, or disable it to prioritize speed with reduced detail. Even with HR mode off, global accuracy remains excellent, making the device well suited for large-span implant cases and complex bar constructions.
The scope of delivery includes all modules at no additional laboratory cost, allowing selection of project-related features. Available options include condyle-related articulator scan, multiDie, Triple Tray® and secondDie. Model capture can be performed in monochrome or in color.
The automated Z‑axis sets the scan object to the correct height, so manual intervention is rarely required. A status indicator at the base of the Z‑axis shows device readiness and prompts. In addition to performance, the Vinyl HR features an award-winning housing design; the Vinyl series won the Red Dot Design Award in 2018.
