Product overviewBESS.EGV-IAF provides proven EGV deflagration venting performance with insulation placed on the inside of the panel facing the BESS interior. Insulation properties can be customised to suit specific BESS layouts and thermal requirements.
ApplicationBESS.EGV-IAF is the most economical solution for deflagration venting where interior insulation is required. Panels are roof-mounted and vent deflagrations upward to a safe discharge location. Standard burst pressure is 0.1 bar at 22 °C and can be customised down to 0.025 bar to suit the BESS design.
MechanismUnder a rapid pressure rise during deflagration the vent opens at the predefined breaking points, releasing pressure from the BESS into the surrounding area to protect the structure and components.
Advantages- Large venting capacity and full-bore opening enabled by low surface weight.
- Fast, stable opening behavior thanks to integrated bionic structure.
- Adapts to various BESS layouts due to the wide range of EGV geometries.
- Quick, torque-independent installation; no additional counter frame required.
- Space savings from integrated gasket and clamping frame within the explosion vent.
- Flexible insulation options to meet thermal and fire-rating requirements.
ModelsPart of the BESS.EGV product family (roof-mounted deflagration venting). A related model with exterior insulation is BESS.IKLI-EGV.
Certifications- Meets the requirements of NFPA 68
