Short descriptionInnovative side-wall deflagration venting enabling flexible installation on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The BESS.TGV is designed to be mounted on a side wall: it limits the vent panel opening angle and redirects deflagration pressure, flame and heat upwards to a defined safe area.
ApplicationBESS.TGV allows designers to avoid conventional roof venting constraints such as snow and hail loads, to free roof area for equipment, and to enable container stacking while complying with venting requirements.
Advantages- Limits opening angle to 45° to control deflagration direction.
- Reduces required safety area around the installation.
- Permits side-wall installation on BESS containers.
- Slim profile < 15 mm allows close flush mounting and container stacking.
MechanismThe device limits the explosion vent opening angle and channels the pressure wave, flames and heat into defined zones, minimising dispersion and lowering the extent of protected zones required.
