Overview
REMBE® BESS.Q.Vent is the industry’s first flameless vent designed specifically for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The device extinguishes flame propagation and significantly reduces external temperatures and pressure effects, enabling safer protection for indoor and outdoor BESS installations. It is suitable for mounting on BESS roofs or side walls.

Application
BESS.Q.Vent is intended for BESS installations where an open flame discharge and high external overpressures are unacceptable—such as sensitive indoor environments, containerised storage sites and stacked container layouts.

Mechanism
A special stainless steel mesh filter dissipates heat from hot combustion gases and flames, causing rapid flame extinction and additional cooling of the expelled gases. This process substantially lowers both external temperatures and pressure peaks during an event.
