Overview
Use the Raspberry Pi® Compute Module 4 inside an industrial-grade IoT controller developed by RESI for DIN-rail and wall mounting. Available in 4MU, 8MU and 12MU sizes to fit standard switchboard cabinets with a 45 mm front cutout. The platform supports shade and blind control with variants for 4 or 8 230 V motors and multiple IO configurations.

Built-in inputs & outputs and IO handling
The ARM® co-processor manages integrated IO locally; application software accesses IO via serial interfaces. Provided interfaces:

• /dev/ttyACM0 — ASCII text protocol
• /dev/ttyACM1 — MODBUS/RTU master
• /dev/ttyACM2 — RS485 mapped via USB (native serial for Linux)

Available IO types include digital inputs/outputs, relay outputs, LED-strip outputs, temperature sensor inputs and dedicated shade & blind control outputs.

Universal analog inputs/outputs (AIOX)
AIOX modules are offered with 4, 8 or 16 channels. Each channel can be configured as:

• Analog input: 0/2–10 V or 0/4–20 mA
• Analog output: 0/2–10 V or 0/4–20 mA
• Resistor measurement: 0–1 MΩ
• Sensor input: PT100, PT1000, NI1000-DIN43760
• Digital input: 24 Vdc or dry contact

Software & integration
Controllers ship with a standard Raspberry Pi Linux distribution. Supported environments include Node-RED, Node.js, Python, Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, HTML and SQL/NoSQL databases (MariaDB, MongoDB, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL). Typical integrations: Grafana/Apache for UI, OpenHAB/FHEM/Home Assistant/IO Broker for automation, MQTT/HTTPS/Azure IoT/AWS for cloud connectivity, and OpenWrt/OpenRouter/OpenVPN/WireGuard for VPN/router use. CODESYS is supported for industrial PLC applications.
