Description

Overview
SpanGuard® retractable mesh safety barriers separate and define large work areas, walkways and loading-dock interiors while allowing controlled access when needed. The system stores the mesh curtain inside a self-contained cylinder and is designed for flexible relocation to accommodate changing facility layouts.

Benefits
  • Separation: Clearly defines work zones and pedestrian routes.
  • Prevention: Diverts material handling traffic and reduces unintended access.
  • Modular: Usable in straight runs or corners; configurable for layout changes.
  • Communication: Provides highly visible delineation of restricted areas.
  • Restriction: Limits access to hazardous or sensitive zones.
  • Efficiency: Improves site organization and helps maintain operational focus.

Design and Performance
The system consists of a retractable mesh curtain stored in a self-contained cylinder. It is removable and relocatable for temporary or permanent layout adjustments. SpanGuard® is engineered for light-duty impact protection and is rated to absorb and distribute energy from light in-plant vehicle collisions. Multiple post and latching kit configurations are available; each post uses four anchors for secure installation.

Application
  • Walkways and aisles
  • Workstations and production areas
  • Bases of ramps and loading-dock interiors
  • Indoor or covered outdoor zones where minor impacts could cause damage or injury
  • Typical industries: warehouses and distribution centers, manufacturing and production, automotive facilities, food & beverage, pulp/paper and packaging plants

Technical specifications
  • Curtain height: 36" (915 mm)
  • Reference top height above floor: 48" (1220 mm)
  • Available clear span lengths: 30' (9,150 mm) and 60' (18,300 mm)
  • Typical maximum clear span: up to 60' (18,300 mm)
  • Impact rating (light-duty): designed to withstand impacts up to 5,000 lb at 2 mph
  • Four anchors per post
  • Available kits: single-latching, double-latching and square post options
  • Clean, low-profile appearance; flexible configurations allow easy access by retracting the mesh curtain
