Overview
The Dok-Guardian LD and LDXL are light-duty, manually operated, retractable loading dock safety barriers designed to protect the loading dock drop-off. These barriers provide a highly visible, easy-to-use means to reduce the risk of personnel, carts and non-motorized material handling vehicles falling from the dock during loading and unloading operations.

Safety
Both LD and LDXL models are manually extended across the dock opening to reduce fall-off risk. The taller LDXL model helps facilities meet applicable guardrail or walking-working surface requirements where greater railing height is needed (for example, OSHA standards in the U.S.).

Design and materials
The barriers use a high-visibility PVC-coated fiberglass curtain or mesh (depending on model) with restraining straps for strength and visibility. The curtain retracts into dedicated Warden anchor/storage units that also protect door tracks during trailer loading and unloading.
