IntroductionThe HAT series hollow-shaft and standard harmonic-drive rotary actuators integrate the harmonic drive, motor and absolute multi-turn encoders (Tamagawa protocol). Supported models: HAT11, HAT14, HAT17, HAT20, HAT25, HAT32, HAT40, HAT50, HAT58. Rated torque range 4 N·m to 1200 N·m; hollow-shaft diameters and external dimensions vary by model. Dual-encoder and custom configurations available. End-face mounting supported for space-constrained installations.
Features- Hollow through-wire design: Through bore permits routing of motor cables, sensor lines or hydraulic/pneumatic tubing through the joint to avoid exposed cabling—suitable for collaborative robots, multi-joint manipulators and serial-link equipment.
- High integration: Motor, encoder and optional brake are integrated in a compact unit for simplified mechanical and electrical connection.
- Long service life & low maintenance: Harmonic gearing distributes tooth wear and reduces shock loads; minimal lubrication and maintenance under normal operating conditions.
- Environmental adaptability: Reliable operation in dusty or humid environments; selected models rated for -40°C to 70°C.
- Flexible operation: Designed for tight weight and space constraints while maintaining positioning performance.
Applications- Joints for collaborative and industrial robots
- Multi-axis manipulators and serial robotic arms
- Aerospace actuation units, inspection systems and automated assembly lines
- Installations requiring cable/tube pass-through in confined spaces
