Description

Introduction
The HAS Solid Standard harmonic rotary actuator integrates a frameless torque motor, harmonic drive and Tamagawa multi‑turn absolute encoder. Five series are available (HAS11, HAS14, HAS17, HAS20, HAS25) covering rated torques from approx. 4 N·m to 133 N·m and outer diameters from ~62 mm to 110 mm. The end‑face mountable design suits lightweight or space‑restricted industrial applications.

Key features
  • Lightweight modular design: integrated harmonic drive, frameless motor and encoder reduce overall volume (~30–50%) and mass (~20–40%).
  • High torque density: transmission layout minimizes losses to convert motor power into high shaft output torque.
  • High precision: harmonic gearing with minimal backlash combined with a high‑resolution Tamagawa encoder (single‑turn 23‑bit, multi‑turn 16‑bit) for accurate position control.
  • Rigidity and shock tolerance: solid shaft and balanced material distribution deliver strong torsional stiffness and impact resistance.
  • Compact footprint: simplified mechanical interfaces reduce overhangs and allow direct end‑face mounting.

Technical specifications (summary)
  • Supported models: HAS11, HAS14, HAS17, HAS20, HAS25.
  • Reduction ratios: typical options 51, 81, 101, 121, 161 (varies by model).
  • Rated torque: approx. 4 N·m up to 133 N·m (model/ratio dependent).
  • Peak torque: up to ~217 N·m depending on variant.
  • Speeds: rated up to ~69 RPM; max up to ~118 RPM depending on ratio.
  • Electrical: rated currents ~0.62–3.90 A; max currents up to ~6.90 A. Motor poles: HAS11 = 10 poles; HAS14/17/20/25 = 16 poles.
  • Encoder: Tamagawa absolute multi‑turn (23‑bit single‑turn, 16‑bit multi‑turn).
  • Dimensions & mass (examples): outer diameters ~63–110 mm; mass without brake ~1.17–3.6 kg; with brake ~1.36–4.2 kg. Hollow shaft Ø ≈ 9–17 mm (model dependent).

Applications & mounting
Designed for compact robotic joints, precision positioning systems, automation equipment and space‑constrained assemblies. Direct end‑face mounting simplifies integration into lightweight mechanisms and modular systems.
