Description

Overview
PTC MH-type air heaters provide multi-stage power control for targeted heating in automotive, industrial and HVAC equipment. Configurable for one, two or three independent heating tubes to reduce inrush current and improve operational efficiency.

Multi-Stage Heating (MH Type)
The MH configuration allows selective activation of heating elements (1–3 tubes), enabling staged power delivery that lowers peak load and extends component life.

PTC Self-Regulation & Airflow Dynamics
PTC ceramic elements self-regulate heat output relative to airflow: increased airflow raises heat output and wattage while self-limiting temperature prevents overheating.

Technical Specification Notes
Specifications are provided for 200V–240V and 100V–120V ranges. Power values reference fin pitch 1.2mm (S) and single insulation (S). Custom wattage, lengths and configurations are available for volume orders.

Part Numbering & Notes
  • FIN PITCH (MH-XXXXS): 1.2mm (S) is base; 2.0mm (N) ≈95% of S; 2.6mm (B) ≈90% of S.
  • INSULATION (MH-XXXXS-XXXS): Single insulation (S) is base; double insulation (D) reduces power ≈10% and increases cost (~20–30%), and removes electrode potential on fins for humid/conductive environments.
  • Accessories: certain accessory codes exclude thermostats for heaters with maximum inrush >14A; consult ordering options for alternatives.
