The ClearView™ ultra-thin flexible heater platform from KLC is a polyimide (PI) PTC heater engineered to prevent lens fogging, enable rapid de-icing/defrost and maintain optical clarity for ADAS cameras, LiDAR and advanced vision systems. Offered as a 0.22 mm ±0.05 mm flexible heater with optional integrated thermal sensors and EMI/RFI shielding, it is designed for zero-interference optical performance and uniform thermal distribution in harsh environments.

Installation and Handling Notes
  • Recommended bonding: 3M 467MP PSA with bubble-free, full-contact bonding to avoid localized overheating and optical path distortion.
  • For high-power / low-resistance heaters (<10 Ω) never energize unloaded; ensure tight contact to a heat sink or use mechanical clamping.
  • Anti-vibration mounting: sandwich mounting between metal plates; do not self-drill — request pre-engineered mounting holes to avoid cutting heating traces.
  • For sustained high-temperature (>160°C) or vacuum/space use: use FEP lamination or mechanical clamping; standard PSA not rated for continuous extreme-temp or cryogenic conditions.
