Description

Product overview
Portable, clamp-on Doppler flow meter for non-contact flow measurement on full pipes carrying solids or aerated fluids. Rugged IP67 enclosure and advanced signal processing enable reliable use in harsh industrial environments.

Summary
The PDFM 6.1 provides fast, accurate, non-invasive flow measurement where contacting sensors or transit-time meters fail. It measures the Doppler frequency shift from ultrasonic echoes reflected by suspended solids or gas bubbles. Designed for short-term surveys or long-term logging, the unit supports extended field use without process interruption.

Ease of use
Rapid setup: clamp a single ultrasonic sensor to the pipe, enter the internal pipe diameter in the menu, and begin measuring. No pre-configuration of pipe material, wall thickness, liner or fluid properties is required. The interface and menus are tailored for field technicians and process engineers.

Ideal for "difficult" fluids
Doppler clamp-on technology detects echoes from particles or bubbles, enabling velocity measurement when solids or gas are present. Suitable where solids, entrained air or abrasive media prevent reliable contact or transit-time measurements.

The right meter for
  • Raw sewage
  • Aerated water
  • Return & waste sludge
  • Slurries
  • Viscous liquids
  • Abrasive media

Installation, power and logging
Portable unit with rechargeable internal battery for daily field use and overnight charging. Included AC adapter for continuous operation (110–240 V AC). Low-power / suspend mode extends battery life for intermittent monitoring. Built-in data logger for long-term recordings (model-dependent capacity; example: 300,000 points). Supplied with protective transport case and stainless-steel mounting kit.

Compatible electronics
Recommended indicator: LED96 — digital measurement indicators for display and processing of meter output.
