Description

Overview
The LP5907 is a low-noise linear low-dropout (LDO) regulator providing up to 250 mA output. Designed for RF and analog circuits, it delivers low output voltage noise, high PSRR, very low quiescent current and fast transient response. The device is stable with 1 µF ceramic input and output capacitors and does not require a separate noise-bypass capacitor.

Key product summary
Fixed output voltages available from 1.2 V to 4.5 V in fine steps. Typical supply current when enabled is 12 µA. The regulator includes enable and output-discharge functions, thermal-overload and short-circuit protection, and is specified over automotive/industrial temperature ranges. Supports remote placement of the output capacitor to ease PCB layout.

Features
  • Input voltage range: 2.2 V to 5.5 V
  • Output voltage range: fixed options 1.2 V to 4.5 V (many discrete values available)
  • Maximum output current: up to 250 mA
  • Very low output noise: < 6.5 µVRMS (typical)
  • High PSRR: e.g. 82 dB at 1 kHz, ~60 dB at 100 kHz (typical)
  • Very low quiescent current (Iq): ~12 µA when enabled
  • No separate noise-bypass capacitor required; stable with 1 µF ceramic input and output capacitors
  • Remote output capacitor placement supported
  • Enable and output-discharge functions; thermal-overload and short-circuit protection

Package and media
Available in multiple small SMD packages including 4-pin DSBGA variants (YKE, YKG, YKM), SOT-23 (DBV) and X2SON (DQN). Product page provides package imagery, thermal resistance data and schematic/functional block diagrams.

Notes on output options
  • Examples of fixed output voltages: 0.85 V, 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 1.9 V, 2.2 V, 2.5 V, 2.7 V, 2.8 V, 2.85 V, 2.9 V, 3.0 V, 3.1 V, 3.2 V, 3.3 V, 3.7 V, 4.0 V, 4.5 V
  • Certain manufacturing options support fine resolution (25 mV steps) for custom fixed outputs

Additional information
Typical applications include low-noise power rails for RF front-ends, analog front-ends, sensors, camera modules and battery-powered equipment. Operating junction/ambient range specified from −40 °C to +125 °C depending on package and derating.
