Description

Overview
Six‑corner indexable turning inserts designed for versatile turning operations, enabling front (push) turning, back (pull) turning, profiling and face turning with a single tool system.

Applications
  • External turning
  • Internal turning

Features
  • 1. Two corner and cutting edge angle options for versatile use
    • Double‑sided 6‑corner inserts available with 80° or 35° corner angle
    • Back (pull) turning: high‑feed designed cutting edge increases productivity (≈200% vs conventional ISO tools) without special programming
    • Front (push) turning: compatible cutting edge geometry for standard front turning processes
  • 2. Chip control
    • Optimized chipbreaker geometries ensure controlled chip formation and evacuation in both front and back turning
  • 3. Y‑PRISM safe lock design
    • Shim with rail and matching slot on the insert for tight interlocking and secure clamping
    • Prevents cutting forces from moving the insert in any direction, ensuring high stability
    • Both 80° and 35° insert types are interchangeable on the same toolholder
  • 4. Tool life
    • AddMultiTurn inserts have demonstrated up to triple tool life compared with comparable ISO inserts at the same feed
    • Possible to double feed rate versus ISO inserts without compromising tool life

Inserts
  • 3C‑TCMT — Positive 7° relief angle, M class, triangular insert
  • 6C‑TOMG — Negative relief, M class, 80° corner angle insert
  • 6V‑TOMG — Negative relief, M class, 35° corner angle insert

Grades
  • AH8015 — Balanced wear and fracture resistance; preferred for heat‑resistant alloys under general cutting
  • T9225 — Preferred for roughing to medium cutting; high fracture resistance
  • T9215 — Balanced wear and chipping resistance; first choice for steel and versatile across applications
  • AH6225 — Preferred for stainless steel; optimized wear and fracture resistance for stainless machining

Toolholders
  • Double‑clamp AddMultiTurn toolholders (external turning)
  • Screw‑on AddMultiTurn toolholders (external turning)
