OverviewA glass bulb within the sprinkler head contains a heat-sensitive fluid that expands as temperature rises. At the rated temperature the bulb ruptures and system pressure (water for wet pilot or air/nitrogen for dry pilot) is released from the pilot line, initiating actuation.
