OverviewThese direct drive two-way, two-position vacuum solenoid valves feature a conical shutter servo-controlled by the vacuum. They are normally closed and can be supplied normally open upon request. The operating principle is based on the pressure differential between the vacuum source and the suctioned air; by addressing this differential pressure to the servo-control via an actuator, the shutter is controlled without compressed air or springs.
ConstructionBody: anodised aluminium with the connections located on the body.
Sealing/shutter: conical silicon shutter assembled onto a stainless steel stem and a membrane in a special rubberised and coated compound.
Actuation: actuator operated by an electric coil for servo-control of the vacuum.
Performance and limitationsNot recommended for systems with rough vacuum levels below 850 absolute mbar (approx. 15% vacuum). The absence of springs and internal dynamic stresses provides high response speed and long service life.
Coil and electrical featuresStandard electric coil fully plasticised with synthetic resin, tight execution, insulation class F (up to 155°C) compliant with VDE standards. Electrical connections: 6.3 mm three-terminal in compliance with EN 175301-803 (ex-DIN 43650). Protection degree IP54 (IP65 with connector inserted). Voltage tolerance ±10%. Maximum absorption: 20 V.A. with AC, 18 W with DC. The electric coil can be rotated 360°; the connector can be rotated 180° and can be supplied, upon request, with LED, anti-interference circuit and/or protection devices against overvoltage and polarity reversal.
ApplicationsCan be used on vacuum systems without compressed air and in applications where suction must be controlled separately from the air inlet into the circuit, such as degasifiers, autoclaves, vacuum thermo-welders, etc. The valve must be selected according to required flow rate and the vacuum pump or generator suction connection.
