Overview
USSSC Shaftless Screw Conveyors offer large volume capacity and the possibility of handling particularly difficult materials. They are designed for handling urban solid waste, screenings and floating matter, de-watered, thickened or conditioned sludge, packaged food, creams or pastes, and waste from meat, fish, fruit and vegetable processing. The conveyor is based on an extra-heavy-duty shaftless screw sliding on a wear-resistant liner inside a fully enclosed trough housing, providing obstacle-free handling, minimal maintenance and easy access for inspection and cleaning.

Function
The shaftless screw conveyor (SSC) conveys material by means of an extra-heavy-duty shaftless spiral that slides on a wear-resistant liner installed in the lower part of the U-trough. The absence of intermediate bearings prevents blockages from tangled or heterogeneous materials and guarantees obstacle-free material handling. The trough is completely enclosed to prevent leakage; covers with gaskets allow odor-free operation and protect against contaminants while enabling full access for cleaning and inspection. Loading can be performed into the open trough or through optional inlet configurations.
