Product overview
SSC shaftless spiral conveyors are heavy‑duty, enclosed U‑section conveyors designed to handle high‑volume, difficult or heterogeneous materials. Typical materials include municipal solid waste, screenings, floatable matter, dewatered or thickened sludge, packaged foods, creams and pastes, and process residues from meat, fish, fruit and vegetable industries. Common sectors: wastewater treatment, sugar mills, fish processing, food processing, beverage, pulp & paper, chemical and solid waste treatment.

Function
The shaftless spiral (screw) slides on a low‑friction, wear‑resistant liner inside the trough and conveys material without intermediate bearings. This design reduces blockage risk and allows conveying of tangled, fibrous or variable‑size material. A fully enclosed trough prevents leakage; gasketed covers enable odour‑controlled operation while permitting inspection and cleaning access.

Construction and loading
The troughs are longitudinally divided U‑section units manufactured in carbon steel or 304L / 316L stainless steel with suitable surface treatment. The lower trough section is dimensioned to accept the liner which is retained by the upper side channels. Drive end components include an end plate with the end bearing assembly and a flanged coupling to the spiral. Standard loading is from above into the open trough; optional loading modes include an inlet spout in a bolted trough cover or a side inlet in the feeding zone.
