Description

Overview
Prismatic tool accommodation designed for automatic use of heavy internal (ID) machining tools such as boring bars, solid drilling tools and rotating deep-hole boring tools with internal coolant supply. The system accepts vibration-damped boring bars and supports long-overhang operations up to a diameter:length ratio of 1:14.

Angular heads
Modular angular heads offer flexible configuration through individual assemblies. Components can be combined or extended (extensions, attachment heads) to reach restricted areas or apply specific tool orientations.

ID-turning and ID-boring
From deep-hole drilling to ID turning and chamber boring, WFL-focused solutions address accuracy, process security and reproducibility. WFL supports customers in preparing machining strategies and implementing control mechanisms to maintain consistent quality.

CNC special contour bar
CNC contour boring bars enable internal contour machining in deep bores (centric and eccentric), for applications such as bottle borings or seat pocket machining. Driving heads are available for coupling with an optional U-axis; CNC facing heads can also be applied.

WFL system boring bar
Vibration-damped boring bars mount securely via a dovetail accommodation on the turning-boring-milling unit. System boring bars support automatic changing of cutting heads. For diameters up to 220 mm and machining lengths up to 2000 mm, a separate slide is available to ensure maximum stability.
