Description

Overview
The DP3CL series open-loop bus-type stepper driver is CiA402 compliant and integrates EtherCAT communication (COE), supporting up to 32 axes. With a new-generation control algorithm and optimized bus communication, it achieves communication cycles down to 1 ms for 32 axes and enables motor speeds up to 2000 rpm depending on motor and system configuration. It is designed for multi-axis industrial applications such as electronics assembly and laser equipment.

Key features
  • New-generation control algorithm: smoother motor motion and reduced motor temperature rise under typical loads.
  • High-speed capability: EtherCAT and control tuning support motor speeds up to 2000 rpm (system dependent).
  • Integrated EtherCAT bus (COE): standard EtherCAT master compatibility for fast, deterministic communication.
  • High axis capacity: supports up to 32 axes with communication cycles down to 1 ms (for 32 axes at fastest setting).
  • Simplified wiring: network cable replaces traditional pulse/direction lines; driver includes power and encoder connections to reduce cable routing and maintenance.
  • Improved EMI and reliability: low bus load and point-to-point physical layer help suppress interference and stabilize system performance.

Applications
  • Electronics manufacturing and assembly
  • Laser processing and laser equipment
  • Wire stripping and harness processing machines
  • Marking and labeling machines
  • Drawing machines and other multi-axis automation systems

Technical specifications
  • Standard compliance: CiA402
  • Protocol support: COE protocol, standard EtherCAT
  • Axes supported: up to 32 axes
  • Communication cycle: down to 1 ms for 32 axes (fastest)
  • Maximum indicated motor speed: up to 2000 rpm (dependent on motor and system)
  • Wiring: network cable replaces pulse/direction lines; driver provides power and encoder lines
  • Control algorithm: new-generation algorithm for smoother motion and lower temperature rise
  • Reliability: enhanced anti-interference due to EtherCAT low bus load and point-to-point physical layer
  • Typical use cases: electronics, lasers, multi-axis machinery (wire strippers, marking, drawing)
