Sabre Tubular Structures offers a light duty line of standard class poles designed per RUS standard pole requirements. These poles satisfy the needs of both the cooperatives, governed by these requirements, and other utilities specifying a %u201Cwood pole equivalent%u201D type structure. Concerns regarding severe weather, woodpecker damage, accessibility issues in remote areas and simple environmental issues have increased the need to replace wood poles with steel pole structures. Sabre Tubular Structures' standard class poles are the perfect answer to those concerns. Call us today for your next standard class pole project.
Sabre Tubular Structures also provides customers with an interactive MS Excel based worksheet that allows the user to input basic design criteria, such as required height and embedment depth, and then creates the design calculation output for each pole class ranging from Class 3 to Class H9. In addition, input fields for fixity point below ground and "near pole top" allow users the ability to review the diameter and moment capacity at each location to determine the pole class best suited to their needs.

Conventional AC test transformers are especially designed for testing objects of medium capacitance. These systems are particularly suited for tests requiring stable voltage even if the load changes under voltage (corona, wet & pollution tests) or when the load is inductive (inductive voltage transformers).
The possibility of stacking several of these transformer modules allows reaching very high voltage levels by keeping reasonable floor space.

With the CT contactor series Schaltbau is introducing a new and innovative contactor concept to the market: power contactors in a completely new style and design, specially developed for the sophisticated requirements of the railway industry. The outstanding technical feature of this new product is the innovative combination of electromagnetic and permanent-magnetic blowout technology for electric arc control. The successful combination of these two principles greatly improves both switching functionality and reliability and forms a practical and economically impressive device concept.
The innovative core of the new CT series is the electric arc control technology: in contrast to contactor concepts purely based on electromagnetic blowout, the arcs created at the moment of switching off are ignited in powerful permanent-magnetic blowout fields. Thus the dwell periods in the contact zones are limited to an absolute minimum. This leads to a significant reduction in arc-related burn-up when switching off. The lower degree of wear on the contacts makes it possible to greatly increase maintenance intervals.
The arcs blown out of the contact zones act as wear-free switches in the next phase: the skipping to adjacent arc modulators activates the blowout coils, making switching-off procedures independent of the direction of the current from that moment onwards. In the final phase the arcs pass through an arc chute, are stretched across the divergently arranged modulators and then effectively extinguished in a ceramic chamber. The special design of the extinguishing process reduces the discharge of ionised gases from the arc chute.

275HVD Non-Contact Voltage Detectors
The Model 275HVD is designed to detect the presence of high voltage without physical contact.
An eight position rotary switch selects the detection range. As the sensor is moved closer to the voltage carrying conductor, its sensor head picks up the radiated electric field. Once the threshold is reached, the buzzer sounds and a bright red warning light warns the operator of live conductors.
The Model 275HVD is powered by three standard Alkaline C cell batteries and can be used both in- and out-of-doors. A universal spline on the back-end facilitates attachment to any standard hot stick. A self-test position ensures that all circuitry and annunciators are working properly before use.
