Application
Filters are used for the suppression of line-bound disturbances in alternating voltage systems. Malfunctions or interference voltages are dampened independently of their developing place. For the improvement of the filter achievement they are in 2 steps developed, in addition these filters are optimized against asymmetrical disturbances and have over a far frequency range a high insertion loss.
Operational principle
The filters of the FEAS series NFKwerden between the alternating voltage supply and the breakdownsensitive consumer attached. By the combination of throttles and foil condensers that screening letting "X" and "Y" is obtained an effective screening over a far frequency range.
By the use of two single-aperture core throttle the filters for the removal are optimized by asymmetrical interference.
Execution
Built in a metal housing for the direct assembly on DIN rail or wall assembly with screws.

Laird Technologies produces an extensive line of ferrite products for inductive and EMI filtering applications with a product line that includes ferrite EMI cable cores.
Laird Technologies' cylindrical EMI suppression ferrites provide a cost-effective means of reducing common and differential mode EMI. These cores are most frequently used to suppress common mode EMI on the internal and external cable assemblies of electronic equipment. By decreasing the levels of EMI radiated by internal cables, ferrite cores can reduce the cost and amount of overall shielding required to confine EMI within a product's enclosure. They may also be successfully used on power cables that carry digital or analog signaling.
To achieve maximum EMI filtering performance in a given application, select a ferrite with an inner diameter most closely matching the outer diameter of the wire or wire bundle to be filtered. The in-circuit impedance may be substantially increased by passing two turns of the wire conductor through the ferrite core. A typical common mode application might have two conductors passed through a ferrite core. With equal and opposite currents flowing through the core, zero net bias is established through the component, and maximum impedance is thus realized from the ferrite.

Inside every EMI filter is a ceramic feed-through capacitor. Spectrum has engineered a line of ceramic capacitors designed to provide solutions to a wide range of filtering applications. These ceramic capacitors are ideal for EMI/RFI suppression filters, medical implantable devices, commercial and military applications, power supplies and converters.
Tubular feed-through (FT) and Pi (π) are small in size, lightweight, non-polar and offer high dielectric strength. With a high ratio of capacitance to volume, all capacitors are fired to produce true monolithic structures impervious to moisture and contamination. We offer many variations of tubular capacitors to fit any custom application, including: various OD, ID and length configurations; square tubes for surface mount applications; and lapped feed-through capacitors.
Discoidal feed-through capacitors are the building blocks of the EMI filter industry. Due to their low inductance construction, these capacitors perform extremely well in high frequency applications. In addition, these low inductance, non-polar discoidal capacitors are ideal for by-pass and filtering applications.
Spectrum’s planar capacitors are quickly becoming the new standard in filtered connectors used in EMI suppression applications. Various custom and industry standard geometries are available and our designs can incorporate multiple capacitance values, feed-through holes and ground holes.
