Galvanic Anodes for cathodic protection of steel in concrete
The Galvanic Anode protection systems utilize sacrificial anodes that naturally generate an electrical current to mitigate corrosion of the reinforcing steel. Zinc has a lower (more negative) potential than steel, so the Galvanic Anode provides the current to inhibit the corrosion of steel in concrete.
Galvanic cathodic protection systems, which use sacrificial anodes, have recognized advantages of simplicity and reliability, and have recently become available as a viable alternative to ICCP. Unlike ICCP, galvanic CP systems require no extensive wiring or conduit, and no power supplies. Their inherent simplicity greatly reduces the need for ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
In concrete structures, zinc anodes are typically used both for maintenance and new structures.

Zinc Sheet Anode for anticorrosion protection of reinforced steel in concrete
Zinc sheet is applied up on the concrete surface .
Zinc sheet stops corrosion by placing steel in concrete in a protected cathodic state. Stopping corrosion helps prevent concrete deterioration. Unlike impressed current systems, Zinc sheet is fully self-powered and self-regulating, providing the proper current to maintain steel polarization. It requires no external power source, no costly electrical work and minimal monitoring.
Zinc Sheet can be applied to the top, sides, or bottom surfaces of concrete structures of various shapes and any sizes.
Zinc sheet requires minimal maintenance over its long life. If desired, performance can be monitored easily by on-site personnel. With a 250 micron zinc layer the calculated life expectancy will be 21 years.

ZincLayerAnode (ZLA) is a sacrificial galvanic anode specifically designed for giving electrochemical protection, known as cathodic protection, for the prevention of corrosion of the concrete steel reinforcement.
It is applied upon the concrete surface. The zinc-layer is electrically linked with the steel reinforcement. In this way the electric-circuit is completed because electric current flows through the adhesive layer and concrete by means of ionic conductance (both materials are so-called electrolytes). Since zinc has a natural potential which is more electronegative than the steel reinforcement, the zinc becomes the anode after installation and forms a new corrosion cell in which the reinforcement is forced to be the cathode.
In this way the corrosion process within the concrete is transferred to the zinc-layer avoiding futural spalling and cracking of the concrete.

Corner Sentry is a resilient, flexible corner protector that adds an energy-absorbent barrier to the corners of buildings or square concrete posts. Corner Sentry is molded of a flexible EVA polymer and is bright safety-yellow in color. The shape of the product tapers from the corner to give maximum impact protection where it is needed at the corner angle while maintaining a low profile. Corner Sentry can be attached to the corner with mechanical fasteners (not included) through the included recessed grommets, by adhesives, or can be strapped around a column using the included belt recess.
Corner Sentry is 42in. (1067mm) in height, tall enough to be seen by vehicle operators. It projects 4in. (100mm) to either side of the absolute corner. It has been tested using standard forklift equipment on a concrete block corner at speeds up to 5mph(8k/h) without damage to vehicle, corner, or permanent deformation to the Corner Sentry.

Park Sentry™ is a simple method to add a layer of scratch-free impact resistant material around a square or rectangular column. Its slim design adds protection without adding bulk to the column. Parking structures using Park Sentry can virtually add space by inviting closer contact between vehicles and columns without the fear of scratches or dents.
Park Sentry is molded of proprietary ARPRO® material ready to be installed around the column without tools. Park Sentry is a modular product: separate corner and plank products combine to surround the column with protection. A key-lock system positions the pieces correctly and holds them together. A set of reflective polypropylene straps surrounds the entire installation, holding it firmly to the column and providing a highly visible contrasting element visible in dimly lit buildings or parking structures.
Park Sentry is 1 meter (approximately 40in.) high and can be configured to fit any sized column by adding or subtracting pieces or cutting to fit. It is available in either bright yellow or black with contrasting reflective straps.
