Operation:
The pumps with 3 screws are pumps with inflow. The flow of the product is ensured by 3 secondary screws including 1 central screw and 2 screws. The axial guidance of the principal screw be ensured by an antifriction bearing. The secondary screws act as parts of sealing and are actuated hydraulically by the aspired fluid. The rotor of power is the only part which is prolonged apart from the body. Uniform rotation eliminates the noises and the vibrations.

High pressure pump KTS
Areas of application
The KTS conveys cooling lubricant (oil, emulsion, diluted solutions) for high-pressure applications on machine tools. A typical example is cooling, lubrication and chip transportation for tools with an internal cooling lubricant feed for drilling and milling.
Properties
Type KTS screw pumps by KNOLL are self-priming positive displacement pumps suitable for lubricating and non-abrasive materials. The pump essentially consists of 3 components: 1. Suction housing, 2. screw housing with a drive spindle and two integral screw spindles, 3. pressure housing with throttle point, sealed shaft duct and external main bearing. The screw housing consists of 2 ceramic shells imbedded in steel and the spindle package is made of a specially treated tool steel.
Equipment
A submerged version (type -T) for vertical installation (usually in containers) and a foot mounted version (type -F) for horizontal dry installation are available for all pumps.

The Marine Screw spindle pumps are positive displacement rotary type pumps. The main working parts of the pumps are three helical spindles and the pump housing. The helical spindles or screws can be compared with a gear having a very long, curved tooth, or with a piston pump with an indefinite numbers of pistons.

Positive displacement pump with three profiled spindles that realize thei movement into the speical bushing.Built in overflow safety valve with a purpose-protection against too high pressure. It is characterized with quite and noiseless work, flow without pulsation and high efficiency.

Main advantages compared to other volumetric pumps:
- Pumps are made in horizontal and vertical accomplishment with adequate fitting flanges in horizontal or vertical position;
- Working spindles are totally hydraulically disburdened of axial forces. Fluid is moving axially without turbulence and mixing which enables pumping of a lot of viscous fluids without making foam;

The Triro pump is of the positive displacement axial flow screw type with only three moving parts - a power rotor and two idler rotors. These three rotors (hence the brand name TRIRO) have accurately machined intermeshing threads which enfold the liquid being pumped and act as seals in relation to each other and to the pump body or sleeve in which they rotate.

The Twinro 2 screw pump is a heavy duty, fixed flow transfer unit. It is available in either Iron, Steel or Stainless Steel constructions to suit a variety of duties. The design of the screwset means the screws intermesh without metalic contact, making the pump suitable for non-lubricating duties. The pump is available in two configurations :
Outboard bearing pumps suitable for non-lubricating liquids, such as Petroleum Liquids, Palm Oils, Fatty Acids and Water Emulsions.
Inboard bearing pumps suitable for lubricating liquids, such as Lube Oils, and clean Fuel Oils.
