The key features of our Billet Homogenising are:
We can use multi-zone control for temperature, pressure and air circulation.
Multi fuel capability (gas or oil).

Typical performance characteristics:

Fuel usage (with gas heating) during homogenising 190 kWh/t and 12 kWh/t (Electrical for motors, instrumentation, etc..)

Car Bottom Furnaces can be provided for annealing, normalizing and stress relieving bars, tubes, forgings, large weldments and castings and can be gas fired or electrically heated with either guillotine or bulk head doors. Sand or pneumatically operated mechanical car seals are available.
Tip-Up Furnaces are used where better atmosphere control and temperature uniformity are necessary. Alternate load/unload methods are available.
A Wellman direct gas fired Tip-Up Furnace with a car bottom hearth is shown below for normalizing alloy steel castings. This system combines the Tip-Up advantages of a tight seal and better temperature uniformity with the convenience of loading and unloading on a moveable car with a refractory hearth.

Can-Eng Furnaces’ Atmosphere Generators are commonly used in conjunction with indirect gas fired or electric furnace systems.
Available in Exo, Endo and Dissociated Ammonia (DA) they prevent surface oxidation and decarburization in neutral hardening situations and as a carrier gas in carburizing and carbo-nitriding furnaces.

Wellman Furnaces, Inc. offers a complete line of Exothermic Gas Generators for rich and lean operation. Standard sizes range from 750 SCFH to 30,000 SCFH. Refrigerated Gas Coolers can be provided to reduce the product gas dewpoint to the 40°F to 50°F range. Atmosphere Gas Analysis Panels are available to monitor the exo gas composition and control an optional trim valve in the burner fuel gas line to maintain the desired CO analysis.
