The RPS-401A, RPS-426A analog ultrasonic sensor is mounted in a barrel housing and is completely self contained. It is powered by 20-30VDC and is reverse polarity protected. It also has a narrow beam angle which enables it to get into tight places. The RPS-401A, 426A has 2 short circuit protected analog outputs, 4-20mA and 0-10VDC.
The RPS-401A barrel is constructed of plastic Valox and is available in two adjustable measuring ranges: 4-40" and 8-80".
The RPS-426A has a stainless steel barrel housing and an adjustable measuring range of 8-80".
A standard 6 foot cable is provided. An optional quick disconnect plugs is available. |

Modern production facilities employ more and more plant automation systems and computerized controls. These allow the monitoring and control of hydraulic and lubricating systems. Traditional level controls are focused on pump protection i. e. a typical system is equipped with a suppliers of level switch with one or two contacts. These contacts protect the pump from running dry in the event of leakage..
Modern systems provide the opportunity for a pro-active leakage control by the use of continuous signals.
An analog output of 4-20 mA signals continuous signals the fluid level. Deviations from the ""normal"" are detected instantly and can be transformed into many types of action. In case of a catastrophic failure such as a burst professional hose the pump could be shut down immediately rather then let it run until the traditional switch turns it off after a large volume of oil has spilt.
The Nivotemp 63 versions provide continuous analog signals for liquid level only or for level and temperature combined. They are available in two standard length or in 150mm increments. The flange dimensions are the standard ones used for filler/breathers ( DIN 24557/2). In addition the units can be combined with our Fluidcontrolterminal which makes oil care even more technically advanced.
The 63..VA versions are suitable for use with high water based liquids ( HFA).

Comus International has now added to their extensive range of switch and sensor products a range of vertical and horizontal plastic and stainless steel floats.
The range includes vertical and horizontal mounted single and multi float types including the side mounted crocodile type.
The manufacturer of float switches are compact, reliable and very easy to install. They are not affected by electrical interference and with a wide range of materials are able to withstand various chemicals, high temperatures and high pressures. By varying the size of float and material used we are able to make sure the switch activities correctly every time.
The activation of the switch uses the principle of a reed switching and magnet.
When used in the vertical position the reed inside the stem is stationary and the float (housing a magnet) is moved up or down passed the reed switch (this closes the reed contact). When the magnetic field is moved away the reed switch opens.
When used in a horizontal position the float is used in a pivotal movement. The magnetic field inside the float is moved into the proximity of the reed switch inside the stationary stem. The reed switch opens or closes.

The external mounting and the non intrusive arrangement of a continuous level measurement are some of the outstanding advantages, that determine it for various applications like:

No matter, what the physical- and chemical properties of the measured product are nor what the shape of the vessel is.

High frequency microwave impulses are coupled to a cable or rod and guided along the probe. The impulses are reflected by the product surface and received by the processing electronics.
Due to this measuring principle, the comprehensive adjustment with the product is no longer necessary. The instruments are adjusted to the ordered industrial electrode length. The shortable cable and rod versions are suitable for individual adaptation to the local conditions.
Even process conditions such as high dust and noise generation or strong steamy atmospheres do not influence the accuracy of the measurement.
Density fluctuations, different granulation or even fluidising do not influence the accuracy. This applies also to the change from dry to wet gravel.
Strong build-up on the electrode or on the vessel wall does not affect the measuring result.
With measuring ranges up to 30 m, the sensors are also suitable for high vessels. Temperatures up to 150°C and pressures from vacuum up to 40 bar cover a wide application range.
By using a coaxial guide tube, VEGAFLEX 65 operates completely unaffected by vessel installations such as e.g. heating spirals or struts. A special adjustment is not necessary. |

With our new Industrial laser-Distance Sensors DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters. Thanks to state of the art laser technology the DLS-B device measures with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. The DLS-B is an optical measuring device. You can measure, maintenance-free, distances on natural and reflective surfaces. You determine positions on objects difficult to access or with very high surface temperatures. Just as well you can measure distances in an aggressive environment in an easy and accurate way.
Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features for the complete DLS-B product line. This enables you to easily connect the DLS-B to a control system (SPS, IPC or PC)

| The capcitive filling level systems operate according to the three-industrial electrode principle. With this principle the container or an additional electrode serve as a counter-electrode to the probe electrodes. For this reason it is necessary with this system that the container is of a conductive material or a "substitute electrode" is fixed to the container wall, e.g. copper foil. These systems are available with probes for analogue filling level measurement of for detection of 1, 2 or 3 measuring points. The position of the switching points and the analogue measuring area is user-definable within the possible effective range and therefore it can be determined for optimal matching of each application. Level measurements of bulk material, liquids or pastes are possible with a dielectric constant as of εr 1,1. |
