The new generation of GFD-rotary shaft lip seals were especially developed for use under difficult and extreme conditions.
The superior properties of PTFE as lip material combined with a corrosion resistant stainless steel housing provide the particular advantages of these GFD-rotary shaft seals.
Advantages and applications:
- Temperature range from -70°C to +260°C
- Lowest friction and power draw
- Long seal life because of wear resistant lip materials
- Almost universal chemical resistance (depending on lip material)
- Suitable for dry running and poorly lubricated conditions
- High shaft speed up to 36 m/s
- Exchangeable with standard lip seals according to DIN 3760
- For food or pharmaceutical industry
Applications:
- Chemical processing equipment
- Hydraulic motors
- Compressors
- Shafts on gearboxes
- Rotary
- Blowers
- Ventilators
- Actuators
- Rotary unions
- Encoders
- Mixers and Dryers
- Robotics
- Milling-machines
- Pumps of all kinds
- Pharmaceutical and food processing equipment
- Centrifugal machines
- Engines and Compressors crankshaft

Bal Seal Engineering canted-coil springs produce a nearly constant force over the working spring deflection unlike other types of springs where the spring force is directly proportional to deflection. Our products are available in continuous lengths or circular spring form with outside diameters from 0.020" (0.51mm) and wire sizes as small as 0.0025" (0.64mm). Spring forces are determined by material, coil size, and geometry. Bal Seal Springs are be custom engineered to meet your application requirements.
Bal Seal can accommodate high volume production requirements while meeting today's exacting quality standards.

Radial Oil Seal
Radial lip seal design for shafts and spindles. Consisting of a rubber sleeve, metal stiffening ring and a spiral tensioning spring. Oil seals provide long lasting sealing efficiency. Available with or without external dust lip, they are self retained in an open groove to ISO 6194 and DIN 3760. Versions available without tensioning spring which can be used as a scraper and for helical movements.

Greene, Tweed's Enerlip® Seal combines low breakaway friction, reduced leakage and easy installation with a mating PTFE-type heel bearing. The Enerlip HP has an additional anti-extrusion ring. At low pressure, the Enerlip functions as a partially capped, single-acting elastomer lip seal. At high pressure, the Enerlip acts as a pressure-activated PTFE seal, with optimum sealing action at pressures from 0 to 5000 psi (0 to 350 bar).

The MSE® seal consists of a PTFE or other polymer energized by a corrosion-resistant metal spring. When the seal is seated in the gland, the spring is under compression and applying force on the gland-sealing surfaces. This creates a tight barrier to prevent gas or fluids from leaking. The spring also provides resiliency to compensate for seal wear, gland misalignment or eccentricity. While spring force provides adequate force for sealing at low pressure, at high pressure the system pressure augments the spring force to provide an even tighter seal. MSE seals are precision machined from PTFE, filled PTFE and other high-performance polymers. MSE seals work consistently under a wide array of temperatures and pressures. Greene, Tweed offers over 100 jacket materials, four standard spring materials, and four standard spring designs to meet your sealing needs.
