HAUG piston compressors with magnetic coupling offers the best gas tightness for Bio-methane and biogas.
The gas tightness of a compressor is essentially determined by the gaskets and drive system used. HAUG piston compressors are equipped with a unique drive system with frictionless magnetic coupling. The compressor is hermetically and permanently gastight. All gas compressors with magnetic coupling drive are leak tested with helium at HAUG’s workshop prior to shipment. The detected leakage rates are very small, only a few grams per year! which is very important for Biogas treatment plants. Leakage rate < 1% offers a positive environmental balance, because methane has a damage potential which is 23 times higher than CO2.
Consequently, HAUG uses exclusively o-rings inside the compressor. Thereby the compressor is technically and permanently gastight – even after maintenance or service jobs.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY COMPRESSION OF GASES – A HAUG SPECIALITY
HAUG gas-compressors run absolutely oil-less with dry lubrication. The oil-less compression avoids any contamination of the process gas and the process machinery.
To obtain an absolutely hermetically gas-tight unit, HAUG gas compressors are equipped with a magnetic coupling. For this construction the permanent total gas leakage is less than 0.001 mbar l/s during operation as well as at standstill. In the case of helium at 3 bar pressure the gas loss is merely 5 grams per year! Contamination of the ambient environment through gas leakage with these compressors is practically impossible.

Sauer Compressors UK offers 2-stage, 3-stage and 4-stage air cooled compressors covers from 40 bar up to 420 bar.
With the WP 4325 and WP 3215 compressor types, the existing Sauer line of air-cooled high-pressure compressors has been enlarged.
The Tornado series consists of the three-stage WP3215 and the four-stage WP 4325. Each of these is available in the "Basic-Version" - a compressor with motor and an optional separate control unit - and in the "Comsilent-Version" - a complete, ready-to-operate system with soundproof canopy.
The "Comsilent-Version" of a modern compressor station. Fully automatic electronic control, noise insulation down to 72dB (A) at a distance of has everything presently required 1m, integrated filter, demistor and condensate collector tank. The width of less than 800mm width allows it to be conveniently brought through any door, the maintenance points are easily accessible through a side maintenance hatch or a front side designed as a door.

PH and PHB piston compressors deliver compressed air at pressures ranging from 15 to 35 bar. The intake pressure for all PH models is atmospheric, while the PHB booster compressors process air with intake pressures ranging from 6 to 10 bar. Both Series share high-performance features and components to ensure maximum reliability.
PH series high-pressure reciprocating compressors, lubricated, air cooled, with measured capacity from 12 to 46 m3/h and delivery pressure from 15 to 35 bar, have been designed to guarantee high performance over time. Every PH model has a dual-stage piston air end, with special steel pipes for inter-cooling the compressed air and improving the overhaul compressor efficiency. PH compressors are equipped with condensate separator and electronic controlled drainer, non-return valve of Hoerbiger type, intake and outlet pressure gauge.
PHB series boosters are lubricated reciprocating compressors with measured capacity from 8 to 150 m3/h, intake air pressurized from 6 to 10 bar and final pressure at 20 or 35 bar. These compressors are compact and silent thanks to the vibration-proof rubber bushings supporting the booster frame, easy to install without foundations or soundproof cabin. Coupled with medium pressure compressors in a centralized installation or remotely connected to the pneumatic line, the boosters are a flexible and cost-effective solution for feeding high pressure air to manufacturing processes and tools.
