Corken SC-Series pumps are a rotary side channel design. They produce a maximum differential head of 1,150 ft (350 m). The side channel pump is offered in six different sizes, each ranging from one to eight stages. This provides for a wide range of pressures and capacities ranging from 1gpm to 185 gpm (3.8–700 L/min). These pumps can handle discharge pressures up to 580 psig (40 bar).
* Magnetic Drive (shown)
* Stainless steel construction
* Double seal option
* High Temperature options
* Bronze or steel impellers
* DIN spec or ANSI drilled flanges
Versatility
Corken's SC Series pumps have provided solutions for a good number of problematic applications over the past 6 years. The capability of this pump to handle NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) as low as 1 ft coupled with its ability to pump liquids with high vapor content have made it particularly attractive to many of our customers.

Inside the rotor slots (1), positioned eccentrically in the pump cylindrical housing (2), free moving vanes (4) are inserted (3). When the rotor turns, the centrifugal force throws the vanes against the cylindrical wall creating multiple chambers. The air taken from the inlet port (4) is compressed inside these chambers and is thrown out to the outlet port (5).

These pumps have a number of vanes that are free to slide into or out of slots in the pump rotor. When the pump driver turns the rotor, centrifugal force, push rods, and/or pressurized fluid causes the vanes to move outward in their slots and bear against the inner bore of the pump casing forming pumping chambers.
As the rotor revolves, fluid flows into the area between the vanes (pumping cambers) when they pass the suction port. This fluid is transported around the pump casing until the discharge port is reached. At this point the fluid is squeezed out into the discharge piping.

The variable volume and pressure compensated design simplifies circuit design, reduces heat and noise, and can lower horsepower requirements. These rugged PVR vane pumps feature compact design and excellent horsepower to weight ratios, and are known for being the medium pressure workhorse in the industry. PVR pumps maintain constant pressure while matching system flow demands.
A direct spring operated compensator provides fast response for varying system demands and eliminates contamination prone hydraulic assisted compensator valves and pistons. The patented "Walking Ring" design is a unique indexing pressure ring design that rotates slightly with every change in output. Wear is distributed evenly around the inside surface of the ring circumference, which helps to extend pump life.
Hydrodynamic journal bearings eliminate shaft to bearing contact, and since there are no moving parts with this bearing design, pump life is not determined by a B-10 rating. Balanced vane tip loading acts throughout the entire pumping cycle to extend ring and vane life. The one piece forged rotor shaft can absorb system loads with minimal deflection.
To simplify maintenance, the patented pressure balanced thrust plate eliminates the need for shims and spacer units, and yields pump efficiencies up to 90%. Computer designed porting reduces noise at all pressure and flow levels with noise levels as low as 68 dBa [NFPA T3.9 12M-1970 (R1981) Tested]. This can help eliminate the costs for special noise abatement enclosures.

Self-controlling vane pumps type PSV
Special features: Long service life due to hydrodynamic, spherically located friction bearings
Low tolerance between adjustment and spacer ring = minimal oil leakage
Almost constant oil leakage over the compete pressure range due to hydraulic play compensation
Technical specifications:
Installation position: Unrestricted. The pump drive shaft must not be subjected to radial loads.
Operating temperature: To prevent corrosion, the oil temperature in the tank should not exceed 55°C.
Suction: 152 mm HG
76 mm with aqueous fluids
Operating pressure: Max. 140 bar
Pressure limits: A pressure control valve should b e used with pressures in excess of 100 bar, as this would guarantee higher service life of the pump with high pressure peaks.
Direction of rotation: The SV pumps are available with clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. The respective direction of rotation is marked by arrows located on the side of the pump housing. The direction of rotation is seen from the end of the shaft.
Pressure fluids: HLP - Mineral oil i.a.w. DIN 51525

R 5 special products are designed for use in the following special situations:
* high water vapour - Aqua
* high oxygen concentration - Oxygen
* explosion risk - Enivac
R 5 Aqua
These pumps are designed for use in humid applications and processes that contain a high percentage of water vapour. Aqua type vacuum pumps are characterised by reliability and minimum maintenance. The standard version of the Aqua type vacuum pump is equipped with a recirculation oil lubrication system, which results in considerably lower oil consumption compared to with once – through lubricated vacuum pumps. No water is needed for operating.
R 5 - Oxygen
Used in all industrial processes with increased oxygen concentration such as modified atmosphere packaging of red meat or chicken. Injection of higher oxygen concentration is a common and frequent process in packaging of meat products. This ensures a controlled maturity and sterilisation of the meat.
The R 5 rotary vane vacuum pumps in oxygen execution have been specially designed for pumping gases or gas mixtures with more than 21% oxygen content, thereby ensuring highest process reliability.
R 5 Enivac
Enivac pumps are explosion – proof rotary vane vacuum pumps. They can be used in industrial applications to pump explosive gas/air and vapour/ air mixtures. They are suitable for pumping almost all group IIB3 gases as well as fuel vapours. Enivac vacuum pumps are certified in accordance with directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) FOR USE IN Ex II 1/ 2 G IIB3 T4, Category 1 inside and outside the pump

Simplicity of design with only one shaft and direct drive produces robust, long-lasting pressure/vacuum generators compressors with low maintenance and running costs. These pressure/vacuum generators operate completely oil-free; the individual chambers are separated by long-life vanes. Already featuring integrated intake filter and control valve, these pressure/vacuum generators can be fitted with other accessories without a problem. The blast air cooler, which is also integrated, guarantees a very low blast air temperature. The compact cover ensures low noise and heat emission. The combined pressure/vacuum generators are additionally equipped with a second intake. This provides the capability of making minor adjustments to the suction and pressure side as well as to high blast air volumes. By way of option, the second intake can also be used as a second low-vacuum suction air supply. Optional corrosion protection also makes these vacuum pumps suitable for extracting moist air.
