Absopulse Electronics' PPF Series rugged power supplies with power factor corrected (PFC) input were designed for operation in extreme environments.
Standard PPF designs are available in power levels up to 500W. They operate from line voltages of 95 to 264Vac (47 - 420Hz) universal input and the power factor is corrected to a minimum of 0.97 at full load for the entire input range. Single output options include 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V or 72Vdc. Other input and output voltages as well as a built-in redundancy diode are available on request.
Full encapsulation in a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound ensures immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, salt and airborne contaminants. Conduction cooled via a base plate, these units operate in -40°C and 70°C temperature ranges without de-rating.
The PPF series has full electronic protection against over-current and short circuit conditions. It meets EN6100-3-2 requirements for low input harmonic distortion mandated for European markets. They are filtered on the input and output to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum. The units meet international safety approvals including EN 60950 and related standards.
