Ogura is the largest manufacturer of electro magnetic clutches and brakes in the world. Current manufacturing capacity is in excess of 30 million clutches and brakes per year. We have 14 manufacturing plants throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia. All plants are certified ISO9001 and most have been certified ISO 14001 and TS16949. We have over 3,000 designs available. Besides the standard product shown we also make a variety of specialty products. These brakes are used in used in the following industries: brakes for servo motors, robotics applications, elevators/escalators, industrial machinery, automotive, and medical applications. Ogura holding brakes are made in both the spring set type and permanent magnetic type. Optional designs such as zero backlash are available. Brakes can be made in a variety of DC voltages. Standard torque ranges are from 1nm to 800nm, although specialty multiple disk professional elevator brakes have been made up to 30,000nm.
