Description
Types AL and ALP are roller-type freewheels developed from the Stieber modular system. They are supported by two 160 series bearings which must not be axially stressed. They are useful in applications that involve oil lubrication and sealing. Types AL and ALP employ the same working design, but are different only through the keyway on the outside diameter of type ALP.
Both models are used with standard covers that are engineered to transmit torque and provide oil lubrication and sealing. The covers are used in pairs according to specified combinations. Torque is transmitted by bolts through the cover plate in the models' cases.
Two paper seals are delivered with each unit. These seals are meant to be placed between the outer race and cover plates.
