OverviewThe California Instruments MX Series comprises floor-standing programmable AC and DC power systems designed for automated test equipment (ATE) and product test applications. Using PWM switching, the MX Series delivers high power density in compact cabinets and supports AC, DC and combined AC+DC operation in single- or three-phase output configurations depending on model.
NoteCalifornia Instruments announced End-Of-Life (EOL) for the MX Series on March 31, 2023; Last Time Buy was offered until September 30, 2023.
Operation and controlThe series is operated from a menu-driven front panel with backlit LCD for setup and read-back. Standard remote interfaces include RS232C and USB; optional IEEE-488 (GPIB) and LAN are available. Programmable (Pi) controllers provide arbitrary waveform generation, advanced time/frequency measurements and waveform capture; instrument drivers and software for common ATE environments are supplied.
