Overview
ASUS RS720A-E9-RS24-E is built on the AMD EPYC™ platform in a 2U rack form factor. The system supports up to 32 cores per CPU and up to 128 threads, provides 32 DIMM slots for large memory capacity and bandwidth, and leverages integrated processor I/O to reduce latency and improve throughput.

Expansion and I/O
The server includes seven full-height PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (operating in x8 mode) with pairing options to enable three PCIe 3.0 x16 configurations, plus one low-profile PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (x16 mode) and one OCP Mezzanine 2.0 slot (x16 mode) for OCP LAN cards, providing flexible expandability for storage and networking in a 2U chassis.

User-friendly and energy-efficient design
RS720A-E9-RS24-E features two M.2 slots supporting 22110-size SSDs, an externally visible Q-code for diagnostics, a tool-less rack rail kit for simplified installation and removal, and tool-less hot-swappable fans for faster maintenance. The design removes the power-sharing board to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational power consumption.

Complete remote server management
The server provides onboard ASMB9-iKVM for out-of-band remote management via IPMI and supports centralized management with ASUS Control Center, enabling comprehensive control and streamlined IT operations.
