Storage capacity and configurations
Fits up to twelve 2.5-inch storage drives in a compact 1U form factor. Supports multiple drive configurations, including: eight NVMe + four SATA; four NVMe + eight SATA; or four NVMe + eight SAS with an optional ASUS PIKE II card. Provides storage flexibility for diverse applications.

Expandability
Numerous expansion slots for additional storage and networking configurations: a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for a 4-NVMe adapter card, two PCIe 3.0 x8 slots for ASUS PIKE II HBA/RAID and 2-NVMe adapter cards, and an OCP Mezzanine x16 slot for high-speed networking cards.

Dual M.2 support
Dual M.2 slots support either SATA 6Gb/s or PCIe 3.0 x4 (32Gb/s) to enable fast data transfers and allow OS installation on M.2 SSDs, freeing 2.5-inch drive bays for storage.

Processor and memory
Built on the AMD EPYC™ 7002 platform to deliver high server performance. Up to 64 cores per CPU and up to 128 threads in a single 1U server architecture. Supports up to 32 DDR4 DIMMs for up to 4TB of RAM, delivering high memory bandwidth and capacity.

Management and remote control
Embedded iKVM (ASMB9-iKVM) and bundled ASUS Control Center (ACC) provide comprehensive out-of-band and in-band management features. iKVM supports remote BIOS updates, fan control, standalone KVMs, video recording, and BSOD capture for remote monitoring and diagnostics even when the OS is down. ACC is a centralized IT management platform for monitoring and controlling ASUS commercial products, enabling remote BIOS updates, mobile monitoring, and one-click software updates.

Thermal and energy efficiency
ASUS Thermal Radar 2.0 uses intelligent detection technologies and a multi-fan zone design with localized sensors (CPU, GPU, DIMM, HDD, etc.) to designate dedicated fan flow and reduce overall fan power consumption. The multi-fan zone design enables multiple fan curves per zone for dynamic adjustment and improved thermal efficiency. Selected models support up to 56 ambient sensors.
