Description

Product overview
The Nano25 is a compact 6-axis force/torque sensor designed for low-to-medium payload applications. It delivers simultaneous measurement of forces and torques (Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty, Tz) with analog (+/-10V) output and external electronics for straightforward integration in lab and light industrial setups.

Key features
  • 6-axis sensing: measures forces and torques on all six degrees of freedom.
  • Measurement ranges: up to 250 N (X/Y), ±1000 N (Z) and up to 6 Nm (X/Y), ±3.4 Nm (Z).
  • Compact form factor: 25 mm diameter, 21.6 mm height, lightweight (0.0634 kg).
  • Analog output (+/-10V) for compatibility with PLCs, controllers and DAQ systems; other interfaces available.
  • Extremely high strength: EDM wire-cut from high yield-strength stainless steel; single-axis overloads 7.1–15.1× rated capacity.
  • High signal-to-noise ratio: silicon strain gages provide ~75× the signal of conventional foil gages, then amplified for minimal noise.
  • Fast dynamic response: sample rate 40 kHz, latency <1 ms; resonant frequencies 3600–3800 Hz.
  • Connector: 12-pin round Amphenol; interface plate rating: IP20 (variants with IP65/IP68 available).

Applications
  • Telerobotics and remote manipulation
  • Robotic surgery and medical robotics research
  • Robotic hand and fingertip force studies
  • Lab testing, assembly and light industrial force/torque measurement

Notes
Effective sample rate depends on the DAQ device: the sensor sample rate equals the DAQ’s total data rate divided by six channels (one per axis). Optional IP65/IP68 and alternative interface versions are available on request.
