Maintenance kit

Overview
Essential kit for safe maintenance and handling of ultraviolet (UV) lamps. All UV lamps contain a small amount of mercury; in accordance with Guidance Note EH17 (revised), users of UV equipment are advised to keep a spill-response and service kit accessible in the workplace. This kit supports safe lamp changing and provides materials to clean up small mercury spills resulting from accidental lamp breakage. Detailed instructions are included.

Service Set

• Safety spectacles – high-impact polycarbonate lenses meeting EN166 Grade 1F.
• Lint-free nylon gloves – for handling and cleaning to avoid fingerprints that can burn into quartz and shorten lamp life.
• Cleaning material – cloths saturated with 70% v/v Isopropyl Alcohol BP for immediate cleaning after fitting and periodic maintenance; also for filter glass and reflector cleaning.

Personal protective equipment and materials for the safe removal and containment of small mercury spillages that may occur after lamp breakage. Designed for local, workshop use and compliant with standard safe-working procedures.
