OverviewSkid-mounted, pre-engineered OXYBERG® PSA oxygen generator packages for on-site oxygen production. Systems integrate PSA oxygen generation, compressed-air treatment, buffer storage, monitoring, piping and electrical wiring on a common metal skid to simplify installation and commissioning.
Typical package contents- OXYBERG® PSA oxygen generator (model-dependent)
- Oxygen purity and pressure sensors
- Compressed-air treatment: filtration, water separator, adsorption dryer
- Air receiver and oxygen buffer receivers (volume per model)
- Oxygen vessels and accessories
- Pre-installed piping and electrical wiring on skid frame
- Documentation: assembly layout, P&ID/R&I, plant description, electrical consumer list, O&M manual, spare/wear parts list, wiring and terminal diagrams, material evidence
- Optional integrated air compressor or configuration for external compressed-air supply
How the skid-mounted system works- Compressed air preparation: Ambient air is compressed, dried and filtered
- PSA oxygen generation: Molecular sieve separates nitrogen, producing enriched oxygen
- Oxygen buffer storage: Produced oxygen is collected and stabilised in receivers
- Controlled supply: Monitoring maintains target purity and delivery pressure
Design features and system advantages- Siemens PLC and HMI process control
- Continuous oxygen purity and pressure monitoring
- Integrated adsorption dryer and compressed-air filtration
- Pre‑installed piping and electrical wiring for faster on-site integration
- Designed for continuous-duty operation
- Options for booster, high-pressure storage and cylinder filling
Integration and optional items- Optional integrated air compressor or connection to site air
- Sized oxygen buffer storage and surge capacity
- Remote monitoring and alarm integration
- Oxygen booster and high-pressure storage integration
- Skid or containerised configurations
- Commissioning, validation and technical support services
Applications (examples)- Medical oxygen supply (project-specific validation and approvals required)
- Water and wastewater treatment: oxygen enrichment for biological processes
- Aquaculture: dissolved-oxygen control
- Glass and combustion industries: oxy-fuel processes and melting
- Metals industry: cutting, welding and process oxidation
- Biogas plants: micro-oxygen dosing for desulphurisation
- Mining and leaching processes requiring controlled oxidation
Data typically required for an engineered proposal- Required oxygen flow (Nm³/h)
- Target oxygen purity and outlet pressure
- Daily operating hours and load profile
- Installation country, altitude and ambient temperature
- Application, applicable standards and approvals
- Required redundancy or backup supply
- Preferred installation: indoor, skid-mounted or containerised
FAQ — selected answers- What is included in an oxygen generator skid? Depending on the package: OXYBERG® PSA generator, air treatment components, receivers, monitoring, piping, wiring and optional compressor.
- Is the compressor included? The compressor is optional; BERG can integrate a correctly sized compressor or configure the skid for an external compressed-air supply.
- What oxygen purity can the skid produce? Configurable typically between 90% and 95% oxygen; available output depends on model and site conditions.
- Is the system plug-and-play? The skid is substantially pre‑assembled; site foundations, ventilation, utilities, installation checks and commissioning are required.
- Can a booster and cylinder filling be integrated? Yes — boosting, high-pressure storage and filling stations can be integrated per project requirements and regulations.
- Can the skid be used for medical oxygen? OXYBERG® technology can be part of a medical oxygen solution, but full system validation and approval are required for medical use.
