PresentationOIL CHECK 500 - monitoring system for measuring vaporous residual oil content in compressed air, nitrogen and other non-aggressive gases. Designed to detect residual oil contamination in compressed-air networks and to provide early warning to avoid damage, production stops or costly cleaning operations.
Function and advantagesThe OIL CHECK 500 is a highly sensitive measurement system for continuous monitoring of compressed-air installations. It detects contamination events including transient pulses. The calibrated detection range and equivalences (ppb/ppm and mg/m³) are provided in the product documentation. The device is optimised to monitor continuously between laboratory calibrations, minimising false positives while providing rapid alerts for imminent contaminations.
Application areasRecommended for processes requiring high compressed-air quality: pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor manufacturing, downstream of filtration/drying stages, after activated carbon filters or in oil-free compressor installations (with upstream filtration and drying).
Main operating features- Very high sensitivity for detection of hydrocarbons and functional/aromatic compounds.
- Extended measurement range suited to early detection of residual oil.
- Digital and analog outputs for control-system integration (RS485 Modbus RTU, Ethernet via DS modules, 4...20 mA).
- Optional alarm inputs/outputs and additional analog outputs.
Practical useThe OIL CHECK 500 is installed in bypass with a low, constant sample flow (approx. 0.5 L/min standard, conditions dependent) and uses a female G 1/4" (ISO 228-1) process connection. It requires a plug-in power supply 100...240 VAC, 50...60 Hz. Operating ambient temperature, compressed-air temperature and acceptable relative humidity are defined in the specifications; operation requires no condensation.
