Description

The UPSI-2415DP2 is a compact, DIN-rail mounted intelligent 24V DC UPS using supercapacitor (EDLC) energy storage for maintenance-free, high-cycle backup power, designed for control cabinet and decentralized industrial applications.

Key features
  • Up to 500,000 charge/discharge cycles using supercap technology
  • Energy capacity approximately 13.5 kJ
  • Intelligent input current detection and power sharing at 24V input
  • USB-C and RS485 (ModBus) interfaces for integration and monitoring
  • Regulated output voltage in backup mode
  • Minimum-load detection and power-fail timer function
  • Relay dry contact on power fail and reboot function
  • Fuel gauge / state-of-charge indicator and external shutdown input
  • Optimized charging for significantly shorter charging times
  • Improved electronic robustness and intrinsic redundancy for fault tolerance
  • Low-emission, efficient design meeting EN 61000-6-3

Additional information
The device includes a monitored battery management system (BMS) for controlled charging/discharging and cell balancing of the supercap storage. It offers high immunity to fast transients and surge voltages (compliant with EN 61000-4-4 and EN 61000-4-5) and protective functions such as reverse polarity, short-circuit and overcurrent protection. Intelligent power sharing dynamically allocates input power between load and charger to avoid oversizing the upstream supply. Management and monitoring are available via the UPScom management software (cross-platform Web UI based on WebAssembly), supporting controlled shutdown, configurable parameters (load sensor, shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum charge capacity, notifications) and automatic reboot after power restoration.
