WSA is a range of air-cooled liquid chillers offering high efficiency and low environmental impact, featuring free-cooling technology and cooling capacities ranging from 280 kW to 1860 kW. Designed for process cooling applications operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the new WSA–WSI liquid chillers feature one or two refrigeration circuits with stepless screw compressors (WSA) or inverter-driven compressors (WSI), and utilize either plate heat exchangers or dry-expansion shell-and-tube evaporators with a large heat exchange surface. The WSA/WSI range is characterized by high levels of energy efficiency (Class A or B), enabling compliance with the requirements of the 2009/125/EC Ecodesign ErP 2021 Directive. Thanks to the special W-shaped configuration of the microchannel heat exchanger coils and their optimized sizing, these units achieve some of the highest specific power levels (kW per footprint area) available in their category. HT version for applications with high-temperature water (e.g.: plastic) The refrigeration circuit of the HT version is specifically designed to produce chilled water with evaporator outlet temperatures from +15° to +25°C. The compressor has an oversized motor, allowing for wide operating limits and high suction temperatures. Low Noise Version Even in the Low Noise version, which is ideal for installations near residential areas, our units maintain high performance and high energy savings, guaranteeing low noise levels. The compressor casing effectively reduces transmitted noise (-4dBA), thanks to a specific acoustic insulating composite lining.
