Liquid chillers designed for process cooling applications operating 24/7, 365 days a year, air-cooled and equipped with two refrigeration circuits and tandem/trio scroll compressors optimized for R410A refrigerant, plate or shell-and-tube evaporators, and cooling capacities from 95 to 170 kW. Cosmotec’s experience in process cooling applications has led to the development of this range of industrial chillers, designed to meet the wide operating limits (both on the ambient side and the process side) required by the latest energy-saving technologies. All chillers in the WPAmini range are characterized by high levels of energy efficiency (Class A or B) and comply with the requirements of the 2009/125/EC Ecodesign ErP 2021 Directive. The Integrated Free Cooling version, available across the WPA range, also provides significant energy savings, particularly in installations located in cold or temperate climates. Even in the Low Noise version, ideal for installations close to residential areas, our units maintain high performance and excellent energy efficiency while ensuring low sound emissions. The inclusion of an Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) optimizes refrigerant evaporation temperature and pressure, increasing efficiency under partial load conditions and contributing to an extended operating range for the unit. The Micro-Channel condensers are made entirely from aluminum and specifically designed to maximize chiller performance. This design helps reduce overall dimensions while minimizing the refrigerant charge. For enhanced corrosion resistance, an e-coating protective treatment is also available as an option.
