Description

Overview
The Crest TS-2100 Liquid Silicone is a heavy-duty face-mounting laminator engineered specifically for applying liquid silicone behind rigid transparent substrates (acrylic and glass). A hard chrome top roller runs against an EPDM rubber bottom roller to deliver even, bubble-free optical bonds. The machine includes an integrated backing-paper feed, roller pressure up to 8 N/mm, working widths up to 2150 mm and operates without compressed air. It is designed for photo labs, fine-art finishers and premium display producers who require flawless face-mount finishes.

Key features
  • Hard chrome top roller and EPDM rubber bottom roller for a mark-free bonding surface
  • Roller pressure up to 8 N/mm across the full working width
  • Maximum operating speed up to 15 m/min
  • Integrated backing-paper feed that pulls paper from beneath the table (single paper holder on lockable shaft)
  • Removable smooth-aluminium infeed and outfeed tables for clean, controlled feeding
  • Machine runs entirely without compressed air; pressure delivered mechanically and adjusted by handwheel or optionally by electrical roller height adjustment with digital presets

Applications
  • Acrylic face mounting: spreading liquid silicone into an even, bubble-free layer behind clear acrylic for premium depth, gloss and clarity
  • Glass face mounting: bonding prints behind glass for gallery and high-end wall art and display panels
  • Wide-format finishing: handling oversized substrates up to 2150 mm in a single, controlled pass

Best suited for
  • Photo labs and fine-art finishers mounting prints behind acrylic and glass
  • Premium display and wall-art producers where optical bond quality defines the product
  • Finishers running oversized formats who need consistent pressure across large widths
  • Operations requiring repeatable, bubble-free silicone bonding shift after shift
  • Workshops that want an integrated backing-paper feed without a separate stand

Suitable materials
  • Clear acrylic panels
  • Glass panels
  • Liquid silicone bonding medium
  • Photographic and fine-art prints
  • Display graphics
  • Backing paper
  • Custom substrates on request

Options and configurable items
  • Roller temperature control up to 150 °C with digital read-out
  • Additional bottom roller heating
  • Rear-side pressure read-out by LED bar
  • Output table
  • Slitting system
  • Length counter
  • End-of-roll detection with automatic stop
  • 3-inch to 6-inch core adapters
  • Electrical roller height adjustment with digital presets

Performance and operational notes
The TS-2100 delivers even pressure across the full working width to avoid roller marks and trapped air, producing repeatable bubble-free optical bonds. The integrated backing-paper feed keeps production clean and continuous. Mechanical roller pressure adjustment is standard; electrical height adjustment with digital presets is available as an option.

Warranty
A 5-year warranty applies provided a signed service agreement is in place.

Frequently asked questions (selected)
  • What is a silicone face-mounting laminator? A machine that bonds a printed image to the back of a clear rigid substrate (acrylic or glass) using liquid silicone, engineered to spread silicone cleanly and produce a flawless optical bond.
  • Why use a chrome top roller instead of rubber? Liquid silicone requires a rigid, perfectly smooth bonding surface; a rubber top roller can mark or distort the silicone. The chrome top roller running against an EPDM bottom roller spreads the silicone cleanly without trapping air.
  • What is the difference between TS-1600 and TS-2100? Both share silicone-optimised engineering (chrome top roller, EPDM bottom roller, up to 8 N/mm pressure, up to 15 m/min speed, integrated backing-paper feed). The difference is working width: TS-1600 up to 1650 mm, TS-2100 up to 2150 mm.
  • Does the TS Silicone need compressed air? No. The machine operates entirely without compressed air; roller pressure is delivered mechanically and can be adjusted by handwheel or optionally by electrical roller height adjustment with digital presets.
