Description

Product Overview
This low-range turbidity sensor directs parallel light from its light source into the internal water sample, where the light is scattered by suspended particles. A silicon photocell receiver—immersed in the sample—captures the scattered light at a 90° angle to the incident beam, and turbidity values are calculated based on the correlation between this 90° scattered light and the incident light intensity. Widely applied for online turbidity monitoring, it is suitable for waterworks (filtration pre- and post-monitoring, product water), direct drinking water systems, as well as industrial scenarios including circulating cooling water, filtered effluent, and reclaimed water reuse systems.

Measurement Principle
This low-range turbidity sensor guides parallel light from its light source downward into the water sample. Suspended solids in the water scatter the light, and a silicon photocell receiver (immersed in the sample) captures the scattered light at a 90° angle to the incident beam. Turbidity values are calculated based on the correlation between the 90° scattered light and the incident light intensity.
