Product OverviewThe suspended solids/sludge concentration sensor is based on infrared scattered light technology. Infrared light emitted by the light source scatters when passing through the sample under test, and the intensity of the scattered light is proportional to the concentration of the suspended solids. The sensor receives the scattered light and obtains the suspended solids concentration value by analyzing the intensity of this group of scattered light. The product is widely used in the online monitoring of sludge concentration in various technological processes of sewage treatment plants and the online monitoring of suspended solids/sludge concentration in various industrial processes such as water and wastewater treatment processes, as well as online monitoring of sewage plant outlets, municipal pipe network water quality, and pollution source discharge outlets.
Measurement PrincipleThis Suspended Solids Sensor operates based on the combined technology of infrared absorption and scattered light detection. Infrared light emitted by the sensor's light source is scattered by suspended particles present in the sample. This scattered light is then captured by a photoelectric detector, which converts the optical signal into an electrical signal. After undergoing analog-to-digital signal processing, the electrical signal is analyzed to accurately determine the suspended solids concentration in the sample.
