Description

We use attenuators to adapt the level of transfer of the optical signal to the dynamics of the receiver. The attenuators combine the advantages of attenuations created by a doped fiber. They are independent of wavelength, while the attenuation values remain stable in telecommunications applications at typical wavelengths (1260-1360 and 1460-1580nm). They can be used for optical power levels up to +20dBm Diamond attenuators are available in PC/APC single-mode and PC multi-mode for the following models: E-2000®, F-3000®, SC, FC, ST, Diamond, and are 100% compatible with the respective standard connectors and patchcords. Moreover, thanks to the Diamond ACA (Active Core Alignment) technology and titanium insert in the ceramic ferrule, the fiber core is perfectly centered in the axis of the ferrule in each connector, which applies to both the female and male side of the fiber optic, thus guaranteeing repeatability and exceptional stability. In addition, the E-2000® and F-3000® connectors feature protective caps identical to connectors and patchcords of the same type to guarantee laser safety and to avoid soiling on contact surfaces. On the other hand, the ferrule in the two later types of connectors can be removed, allowing for precise and perfect cleaning.
