Description

Overview
Doka multi-ply formwork sheets are a family of plywood panels for use across Doka formwork systems, covering applications from infill/adjustment zones to fair-faced concrete. The range includes Xface and Xlife large-format coated sheets, high-precision Dokaplex panels and versatile DokaPly variants.

Xface sheet
Large-format fair-faced sheet engineered for superior concrete appearance and long service life.
  • Key features: high resistance to scratching and vibrator damage; large formats reduce joints for a uniform concrete look.
  • Surface: concrete-facing side with fibre-reinforced synthetic resin coating; back side with phenolic-resin coating (~120 g/m²).
  • Construction: 15-layer Nordic Birch plywood with crosswise veneers.
  • Additional: non-absorbent coating and high-grade edge seal to prevent rippling; hard-wearing finish resists splintering when nailed and fraying when cut or drilled; excellent release behaviour (often no release agent required for initial cycles) and easy cleaning.
  • Option: excess material allowance for precise blank cutting where specified.

Xlife sheet
High-cycle coated sheet designed to minimise on-site finishing work and lower life-cycle costs.
  • Long service life and simple cleaning due to durable plastic-type surface.
  • Provides consistent concrete appearance and reduces rework.

Dokaplex formwork sheet
High format and angle accuracy for fast, precise on-site assembly and smooth, high-grade concrete surfaces.
  • Construction: Nordic Birch plywood with crosswise veneer layers.
  • Surface: phenolic resin film coating (e.g. 220 g/m²) for dimensional stability and finish quality.

DokaPly
Versatile multi-ply sheets for general site use, available coated or uncoated in several material/film options.
  • DokaPly Birch: 15-layer Nordic Birch, coated (e.g. 220 g/m²) — premium finish for smooth concrete surfaces.
  • DokaPly Spruce: 7-layer Nordic Spruce, coated (e.g. 400 g/m²) — for level surfaces requiring robustness.
  • DokaPly eco: 11-layer European Poplar, coated (e.g. 120 g/m²) — economical option for infill and plain surfaces.
  • DokaPly natural: 7-layer Brazilian Elliotis Pine, uncoated — for infill/adjustment zones.

Applications & benefits
  • Suitable for fair-faced concrete, infill/adjustment zones, rentable panels and general formwork applications across Doka systems.
  • Large formats reduce joint count and improve surface uniformity.
  • Durable coatings increase resistance to mechanical damage and simplify cleaning; good early release behaviour reduces need for release agents.
  • High dimensional and angle accuracy (Dokaplex) enables faster, more precise assembly on site.

Technical specifications
  • Typical thicknesses: 20 mm, 21 mm (depending on type).
  • Film weights/coatings: fibre-reinforced synthetic resin (Xface); phenolic resin films (~120, 220, 400 g/m²); or uncoated.
  • Panel constructions: crosswise veneer layering; common layups: 7, 11, 15 layers.
  • Edge protection: high-grade edge sealing (acrylic/2‑K systems) to limit moisture uptake and rippling.
  • Adhesive classes: commonly EN 314-2 Class 3 for fair-faced types; some uncoated variants class 2.
  • Materials: Nordic Birch, Nordic Spruce, European Poplar, Brazilian Elliotis Pine, eucalyptus/other hardwoods depending on variant.
